Boris Giltburg, Pavel Haas Quartet
200 years César Franck 1822-2022
Artist-in-residence Boris Giltburg is celebrating the bicentenary of César Franck's birth and has invited one of his beloved chamber music partners, the Pavel Haas Quartet, to do so. The album of Antonín Dvořák's Piano Quintets that they released together in 2017 was named "Best Chamber Music Recording" at the Gramophone Awards 2018. On this occasion, they will perform Franck's poignant Piano Quintet, one of his great masterpieces. Thanks to such pieces, the Liège-born composer is among the most important representatives of French music and is mentioned in the same breath as Debussy and Ravel.
