Venice, early 18th century. Two brilliant violinists, Antonio Vivaldi and Giovanni Battista Reali meet each other for the first time. At that time, Vivaldi is already known as one of the most productive, inventive and virtuoso composers of his time. Reali, on the other hand, despite all his talent, is still unknown. His trio sonatas from the 1710s, however, are on a par with those of Vivaldi. It is a true discovery to hear the slow movements, the hidden surprises of improvised dances and the frenzied follies of the famous carnival.
