Lilli Maijala – Boyan Vodenitcharov – Benjamin Dieltjens

The Finnish violist Lilli Maijala is one of the most brilliant interpreters of this unjustly neglected instrument, which has now regained its nobility thanks to the emergence of internationally recognized soloists. The program for this concert includes Shostakovich's famous sonata for viola and piano, the composer's last work, written in 1975, two months before his death. The clarinet will then join the piano and the viola to let us hear a moving and rare work, the last one that Schuman also wrote a few months before his death in 1856.
