Elisabeth Duparc, also called "La Francesina" (The little French girl), was the most important singer performing Handel's last compositions. For her light and virtuoso voice, the master composed no less than twelve leading roles, such as Semele, Michal (Saul) and Nitocris (Belshazzar). Sophie Junker and Le Concert de l'Hostel Dieu pay tribute to this illustrious singer in a program dedicated to the great music written for her.
