Retourner à Sölöz
Serge Avédikian
Four times in three decades, the Armenian-born director and actor Serge Avédikian returned to Sölöz, his grandparents' village 170 km south of Istanbul. Inspired by experiences during these successive moments of return, from 1987 to 2019, he made a sensitive and delicate film on the themes of identity, historical truth, and reconciliation. Through his encounters, dialogues and reunions, a path is created between images in colour and interruptions in black and white. Without ever judging the words or the historical knowledge of the Turkish interlocutors, Serge Avédikian invites us to reflect on the hidden past.
