ORLANDO, awarded with the 'Octave de la Musique du Jazz' in 2021, is the Franco-Belgian project of saxophonist Toine Thys. Like Orlando, the hero of Virgina Woolf's novel who swore to remain immortal, the four musicians of this new quartet experiment with their evolution over time. The result is an acoustic music, sometimes joyful, sometimes melancholic, that travels through wide open spaces.
